We open our Freedom Food Pantry to women once a week and this allows to meet the basic need of food and nutrition that unfortunately, many people in our community go without due to financial hardship.

Additionally, Ipswich is one of the most deprived areas in England and this makes black and minoritised women and children in Ipswich to face the intersection of their geographical area and ethnicity. Due to the increased risk of these factors, black and minoritised children are therefore vulnerable to adverse life outcomes due to unhealthy eating or malnutrition.
