You Can’t Break Me

PROJECT

Our Aims

You Can’t Break Me project is aimed at addressing the disadvantages and inequalities black and minoritised women face when they are in prison and on probation.

DISADVANTAGES EXPERIENCED BY BLACK AND MINORTISED WOMEN

Psychological distress, unemployment and isolation are common factors affecting black and minoritised women involved with the criminal justice system, which increases their difficulty in reintegrating into society.

At P.H.O.E.B.E we believe that to help women, we need to address the roots of their distress. We can do this by offering the opportunity to speak of their traumas, fears, and concerns in a safe and nonjudgemental environment, while also giving women opportunities for skills development, wellbeing support, and encouraging their engagement with services in the community.

How can we help you?

OUR PLAN OF ACTION

We will create awareness around issues regarding black and minoritised women, through social media and advocacy.

We have taken into consideration the barriers and inequalities these women face, and created a service that will be tailored to their needs.

P.H.O.E.B.E will partner up with other organisations to provide adequate support and signpost.

If you are looking for additional support and believe you could benefit from our services, please advise your probation officer to refer you to P.H.O.E.B.E by contacting us.
